My best Ladybower fish to date.

I popped up to Ladybower for a quick after work session. Because I have lost my key to the gates (for the third time this year!) I walked the bank at Mil Brook. After no action for the first hour I persevered working the orange lure the the waves. I had a knock on a retirve but didn't seem to connect but then it either hit again or was swimming towards me while hooked because I soon realised I had a fish connected when my rod bent over and line started whizzing of the reel! After a few minutes of scrapping I netted my fish. I was delighted to discover that it was my best yet weighing in at 2 and a half pounds! As you can see from the picture I was very pleased with it.

As an added bonus I got to see the Tornados and Dakotas whizzing overhead rehersing for the Dambusters fly by over Derwent Dam.
